Kaylee Wedderburn-Pugh - MD/PhD Student - Kaylee Wedderburn-Pugh is an MD/PhD student co-mentored by Elizabeth Crouch and Tippi MacKenzie. She graduated from Columbia University with degrees in Biochemistry and Philosophy. As an undergrad, she studied the role of ryanodine receptor dysfunction in the progression of Huntington's disease in the lab of Andrew Marks. Here at UCSF, Kayle is pivoting her research interests to study fetal neurovascular and blood-brain barrier development. She also has an interest in studying stem cell biology and cell engineering.
